You or your loved ones can receive direct 1:1 therapy to learn functional skills with hands on practice. Direct therapy is designed to focus on building upon each person's strengths to more effectively communicate and navigate daily living activities.

Caregivers will learn the skills needed to support growth in their lived ones through training and guidance every step of the way.

An assessment will identify the person's needs and propose a treatment plan to provide a supportive environment and skills that will be taught to enhance that person's life. These assessments include Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Independent Education Evaluations (IEE) and assessments for Behavioral Respite.

Consultations can help coordinate care across settings (e.g. school, day program) and providers (e.g. speech therapy, occupational therapy). By sharing strategies and tools to consistently support the person receiving therapy we help provide a respectful and consistent environment.

Support for caregivers initiating services through insurance or regional center. Understanding and navigating the IEP process. Also available to support new ABA providers understanding different funding sources, setting up trainings, and intake process.

Can't make it in person? No problem! Virtual therapy sessions allow you to receive therapy from the comfort of your own home. I use secure and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing to provide the same high-quality care as in-person sessions.
Thriving Minds LLC's mission is to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that focus on neuro-affirming and compassionate care practices to help people reach their greatest potential. A person-centered plan is developed to strengthen all areas of need by connecting with those closest to the person including caregivers and other professionals involved in their lives.

Hi, my name is Marina Garcia. I’m a seasoned bilingual Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 20 years of experience dedicating my career to supporting neurodivergent and developmentally disabled people and their families in Los Angeles and Orange County.
I’m passionate about supporting parents and caregivers to feel empowered in teaching and guiding their loved ones to navigate all facets of life. What drives me in this field is the motivation that both families and I experience when witnessing their loved ones meet their goals big or small. These joyous moments of progress can range from a child saying their first word to an adult learning to advocate for themselves.
I first began working with neurodivergent children and their families as a 1:1 behavior technician in an elementary school in 2004. After that first school year I knew I found my calling when my assigned student went from being unable to participate in classroom activities or interactions with peers to engaging with other students and enjoying their school day.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Teaching with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University, my expertise spans from early intervention for children to specialized support for adults.
Throughout my career I have provided direct clinical support to families, held leadership roles, successfully mentored countless BCBA trainees and developed training curriculums for parents and clinicians of all levels.
My goal is to provide neuro-affirming individualized care to all of the families that I partner with.
As we embark on this journey together I want you to know I am committed to providing my services with the utmost care, compassion and dignity for you and your loved one.
Let's connect and discuss how we can partner together. (310) 210-6898 marina@thrivingminds-aba.com Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply.
